Campello sul Clitunno
, located in the very heart of Umbria, is home to the acclaimed Clitunno Springs. Dedicated to the Roman God of Rivers, Clutumno, where legend has it from here he emanated oracles. The springs have enticed poets throughout the ages: from the roman poets Properzio, Pliny and Virgil up until the more recent Byron and Carducci as well as painters such as
Corot. Still to this day the waters gush out forming an enchanting lake.
Looking up, one catches glimpse of the Castle of Campello, perched in the hilltops above the springs, surrounded by lush olive groves. This was built in 925 A.D. by Rovero de Champeause, who most probably gave origin to the modern name of this medieval village.

The Gradassi Farm is nestled in this historical landscape.
